The Paper Mate Lubriglide Ballpoint refill is a proprietary size and shape that will only fit certain Paper Mate pens. This refill is very difficult to obtain for a reasonable price since Paper Mate discontinued it many years ago. It was initially reported that a standard G1 refill could serve as a substitute for this refill, but a user of The Pen Refill Guide recently reported that the two different G1 refills he tried as substitutes did not fit in his pen. However, it is possible that G1 refills will still fit some pens that take the Lubriglide refill. The original refill is available in black or blue ink in fine, medium, broad, and extra broad line widths.
